Green & Sustainable Construction Professional
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a construction professional seeking an opportunity to make an impact on sustainable construction practices. This position will provide guidance to our industry partners on sustainable construction related issues. Daily responsibilities will encompass the management of LEED for Homes projects, quality assurance inspections and documentation, and possibly GreenPoint Rated and Energy Star projects.
Requirements:
You have at least 10 years of construction experience, and 5 years of sustainable experience. You are a Green Rater under the LEED for Homes program. GreenPoint Rater (Build It Green program) and HERS Rater certifications are a plus. You have excellent communication and organizational skills and strong computer skills. This position requires several hours of drive time daily to projects primarily in the following counties: Ventura, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles (North) and San Luis Obispo.

Administrative Assistant/Documentation Intern
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing administrative support to the documentation department, which creates client reports and provides support to LJP’s construction consulting teams. Provides general administrative and secretarial support including correspondence, faxes, shipments, etc. Review and maintains an organized process for incoming field observation reports and documentation forms; email documentation forms to respective project manager(s) and/or designated recipient(s). Utilize LYNX Digital Photo Management software to store, organize, and recall photo data. Bind printed reports. Prepare and expedite out-going work product, create corresponding digital photo CD, provide daily shipment report, maintain client distribution lists, maintain list for reports on hold. Prepare report tabs and peripherals. Assist with field documentation department filing and archiving. Organize and maintain client folders and templates. Organize and submit list of documentation supplies to be ordered. Assist with answering incoming field department phone lines, transferring calls, taking messages as needed. IT background or interest preferred but not required.
Requirements:
High school diploma and college degree (completed or in-progress) required. Knowledge of basic to moderately complex computer applications (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel) as well as the demonstrated ability to learn additional work related computer applications. (i.e. LYNX, Adobe Dreamweaver). Must type 50+ WPM. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and multi-task. Must be able to communicate fluently in English. Ability to communicate with executive level associates internally and externally in an articulate and professional manner. Ability to practice discretion and understand the appropriateness of professional communication and behavior. Ability to work both independently and as a team member. Attention to detail. Strong time management skills. Strong organizational skills.
